Was there for Cassie D's Birdy30 party and I agree with her review. There's just not much to say. It's a local bar. Everyone around the bar knew each other and the bartenders. However, they were friendly and talkative and welcoming. We were in a "side" room that was both to the side and down a couple of stairs. The only problem is that the doorway to the kitchen is down there too and we were pretty constantly asked to move so someone could get through with a tray of food. But the food! We had teriyaki wings and they were pretty tasty - but didn't taste anything like teriyaki. The wings are made on the grill and they retain a very strong "grill smoke" flavor on them. It was tasty, but overpowered any flavoring they may have had. My bf and I shared an order of wings, a half order of nachos and an order of the cheese fries and were plenty fool. The table behind us got the full order of nachos and it literally came on a pizza plate. They were as huge as advertised. Since it was just the two of us, we got the small order, but the bigger one looked more appetizing. The small order is in a paper boat/basket so the chips are piled on each other. The toppings, including the cheese sauce, sit on the very top layer of chips and once you get through those, you basically have an big basket of naked cheese. The bigger order didn't have this problem, as the chips were spread over the bigger plate. Despite being a proud Wisconsinite, I will admit to sometimes really, really loving me some processed cheese sauce and the cheese fries were amazing. The fries were thick and had a seasoning salt on them and the cheese sauce was thick and stood up to the fry. They were fatty and fake and so, so good. All in all, it wasn't a bad joint. I'd go back for the cheese fries. It wasn't spectacular and wasn't awful. Just a good neighborhood joint. Plus, Cassie won some big cash :)

I went there this past Sunday for the Packer Game. My friends and I stayed there for the entire game and ordered food. I tried their boneless wings with their homemade Hot Sauce called Touch Down..I believe that was the name. I like spicy and it was just the right temperature! They were really good! Service was really good to. Bartenders and Servers were really tentative. I will be returning!

I guess this what you would expect for a West Allis bar. The decor & set up were okay - it was hard to determine whether or not we should wait for someone to seat us or if we should seat ourselves. Services was so-so and so was the food. If you want a bar with a better atmosphere and better food, I would suggest going elsewhere.

Went for wings tonight.. They were absolutely huge. Flavors were good too. Bar tender was super nice & helpful with suggestions as to which wing flavors to try. I had the "tough guy" and "garlic fire", next time would maybe get hotter ones. Andddd.. the bleu cheese dressing was exceptionally good. thumbs up

These are the best wings in the city of Stallis. Maybe Milwaukee. Maybe. Unfortunately, the decor leaves a little to be desired. And don't get too drunk or you might fall down the stairs on your way to the bar from the dining area. Or the stairs leading to the pool table that's crammed into the lower space. So many stairs.....

Dude bro galore? I was expecting The place to be filled with DB's but surprised the place was more diverse. Music was up with many DB songs/anthems. Warning the decor is in old school sports dive.. plenty of beer advertisements and specials and TVs on the wall everywhere. They have two beer pong tables upstairs pool on the lower levels darts plenty of TVs pool tables welcome to Dirty Stallis's version of Colonel Harts. Good wings with plenty of regulars that pack it till the early morning. It's a sports dive bar with a good regular following. Even when busy the bartenders always looking out. For who is next. The wings are very close to East points pub and Jacksons BRP style, Pre fried sauced and grilled. F 4 A 3 S 3 L 2 V 3

Dirty with the smell of spoiled cooking grease, and those are the nice things. I've been to worse Dirty, Nasty Frat House Basements than Magoo's. I was in complete wonderment as to how anyone could work in such a filthy establishment. Please don't misunderstand what I am saying, I love a good dive bar but this is an embarrassment to dive bars.

Today was a good wing day. Magoos kills me because they are so dang inconsistent that it's hard to know what you're going to get when you order. Today the wings were all a real good size, I'd say about 10 to a pound which to me is just perfect because they are big, meaty, and juicy. We ordered the hot wings, the hot BBQ, and the honey siracha. My favorite have always been the hot BBQ. The honey siracha were pretty good too. The hot wings were ok but nothing great. I really like that they are fried, sauced, then finished on the grill. In the past that last part has led to severe over cooking but again, today was a good wing day. If they could consistently hit this level of excellence all the time they would quickly climb back into #1 for wings in mke imho.

Read good reviews about this bar. Being that we are not from around town we took a chance. The food was delicious. A bit under sizes compared to how it was explained at time of order but then disappointing after we got the bill. I felt like we paid way more for what we were served. I will go back but not on a empty stomach.

Great deals for Wing Night on Wednesdays! Get there early because they fill up! Their fish fry is awesome on Fridays too. Friendly staff and extra screens for watching local sporting events.

What a dump. No air conditioning either so hot as H*** in there. BUT the wings! Just fantastic. Might be the best in town as they claim. Also 16 oz PBR cans for just $2.50. 32 ouncers for just $4.50. Bartender was a really nice guy too. So enough goodness to offset the badness.

Best wings in the Milwaukee County area. The tough guy and spicy barbeque never disappoints.

Food was good. Wings are always above average. Prices are excellent. We've always enjoyed their bloody Mary's. The place is a bar so don't expect ambience. Also, I've had a bartender tell me no bloody Mary's after 6. He grudgingly made me one anyway, but I just can't forget that awkward moment... Still, their fries rock!

Magoo's was the first stop on my #Birdy30 wing tour. We called ahead to warn them we have anywhere between 6 and 25 people coming....Ended up being more like 40 and the staff were amazingly accommodating! I'm a sucker for good service....and bars that make you feel like they're happy to have you. The staff is very friendly and just genuine people all around. It is definitely a bar full of regulars-Which is always a little intimidating. However, they we're very friendly...Especially when they found out it was my birthday :) Don't let that discourage you from a visit. We went on a Friday, was super quite when we got there at 6...By the time we were wrapping up at about midnight the bar was packed solid. And yes...I may have ate chicken wings and had "birthday beverages" for 6 hours. And the fact that I won $300.00 on the "Shake of the Day" is neither here nor there. I won't let that sway my review...I have integrity people, integrity! The wings were solid. No real complaints. Nothing too special, just done well.

Saturday afternoon and we are hungry, what to eat? So we headed on over to Magoos to check it out. Haven't been here in many many years so it was like new all over again. Bartender / waitress was so very nice. She was really fun and friendly. Comfortable upstairs for dining out of the way of the actual bar area. Menu has a good selection of sandwiches and apps. We had burgers which were pretty good. Neighborhood bar that has been around for many years. Friendly staff and easy eats. Nice place - check it out if you are hungry and in the area.

The owner should spend more time not partying and giving the bar away to his friends. And worrying about getting laid. And spend more time on paying customers.

Went here for lunch today after having driven by two times a day for the last 16 years. I had 20 wings with their "moron" sauce', their hottest. The wings were huge, dry rubbed whcih gives the wing meat a great flavor on it's own and grilled and basted with the sauce. I can eat extremely hot stuff and would have liked something with more zing but these tasted really good. The bartender was the server and he was right on point. A nice, comfortable West Allis sports bar which does an excellent job..AYCE cod loin fish fry for $10.99 which looked really good too..

It took me awhile to get here, but there's a new King of the Wing. What a welcoming bar to walk into, also. When I gave my credit card to the bartender to start a tab - he stuck his hand out to me and introduced himself. Places like this are rare and should be cherished. Now onto the wings. They're the best. I have an extremely high bar set for the buffalo wing, and Points East has been my favorite for years... but these are almost just as good. Their traditional "hot" flavor is very much like Points East, and it was my favorite flavor. We also tried Hot Teriyaki, Thai, and Tough Guy. They were all good and even though I guess I'm a purist in that I like a spicy buffalo sauce the most... I appreciate the options. West Allis is 15-20 minutes away from me, but me and my friend WILL return. Excellent place and I can't wait to go back.

The wings...the wings...the wings....that's all people talk about with this place! But i don't eat deep fried food. I did sample one wing. it was good. The service was great, but other than that it was just ok. nothing to write home about (but something to write yelp about i guess). There were flies in the dining room, the AC didn't work that well, but the company i was with made for a fun time. would i go back? probably not. There are much better places for bar food in the are.

Has all the makings of a nice down home place but does not live up. Food and wings are pedestrian, place is dirty and the service unfortunately is poor. Better places to go, many better places.

I like wings. So when my co-workers brought me to this place raving about the wings, I wasn't expecting much. After eating there, I can honestly say I was blown away from the food. These chicken wings are some of the best I have ever had. They use a dry rub on the wings instead of coating them in sauce and on top of that, they grill them. All of the flavor, none of the mess of sauced wings and, because of the dry rub, they really grip whatever you decide to dip them in (eventhough you really dont need to). Aside from the wings, the drink prices are really good and the staff is very friendly. Even as a Bears fan I felt strangely welcome in here. I plan to stop in here everytime I am in Milwaukee on business.

Check your bill. Very shady business practices. Wings are great!

5 rating is for wings, however the pizza is a surprising 4+, while the burgers are an average bar burger 3, at least all the burgers are reasonably priced at $6.99 not the $9-$10 some places charge for the same. The wings are fried, sauced, then grilled, so they dont coming swimming in some pool of gloppy franks red hot based sauce like most places, these actually have distinct flavors, favs are spicy bbq, tough guy, and flaming a##hole, which, to my chagrin, is a surprisingly appropriate name. Bartenders, waitstaff, always very friendly.

Our first stop on the #Birdy30 Tour of Wings. I called a few days ahead of time to let them know we would be bringing a group of people in to eat wings for a Birthday party. I was the annoying person who said I would be in between 6pm-9pm and would have anywhere from 5-15 people with me. They seemed extremely happy to have us, and even said we could take the party room on the lower level that had a tv, pool table and seating for about 25. We got there about 6pm on a Friday night. It wasn't really busy, a few regulars at the bar and another dozen tables full for their fish fry in their upper lever dining room. Everyone at the bar was extremely friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. We ended up having over 40 people come, but the staff were Great with making sure we had everything we needed. Everyone was ordering food separately and the staff had a handle on the whole thing. The wings were pretty good. They were breaded with a wide range of flavors to choose from. Definitely a place to check out if you are looking for good wings. As it got later, the crowd changed to a much younger crowd that all congregated around the bar and a door man was placed at the door to check id's. When we left at midnight the place was pretty busy and seemed to be the local spot for the 20-something crowd in West Allis.

I used to work on 101st and National so I would come here after work with the girls frequently. We used to come for Taco Tuesdays or on Fridays. Their Fish Fry is hit or miss. Sometimes it was too salty. Their Macho Nacho is super cheap and feeds a party of six! No lie. Their wings come in a bunch of different flavors and are delicious! Their drinks are awesome! You don;t need to ask for a double because they make them strong! Get there before six and drinks are half price Monday through Friday for Happy Hour. Sign up for their Birthday mailings and they send you coupons for discounts and free stuff monthly. Your birthday month, you get a free pizza! When I found out I had to go gluten free, they let me order whatever I wanted to that was the same value of the pizza. My favorite bartender is Jimmy. He is always good for a joke and a smile. This place is just like hanging out in your back yard with friends. You always feel welcome.

Recently went to Magoo's for dinner Friday night with my boyfriend, sister, and her boyfriend. We were in the mood for bar food and that was exactly what we got. When we walked in, it was pretty awkward. You could see the dining area directly to the left and the busy bar directly to the right. There wasn't any signage about waiting to be sat or anything so after a couple helpless minutes we went up to the dining area and easily found a table enough for the four of us. It seemed like everyone knew everyone there, very casual laidback atmosphere which was really refreshing, but a little too laid back because 20 minutes probably went by until anyone even acknowledged us, so if you're looking for a quick in and out, this probably isn't the place. After this, service was good and a couple different staff members came by to check on us, refill our drinks, etc. I went off recommendations from other yelp reviews and we made sure to get wings (hot and medium) and the macho nacho. My sister's boyfriend also got the friday fish fry, which from the menu seemed like a great deal with it being all you can eat and $8.00 but when he ordered the waitress informed us that it was no longer all you can eat and about $5.00 more than listed. He got it anyways and it was pretty much what you would expect, nothing spectacular. Wings were delicious. I am not a wing eater, but these I loved. Its a dry rub, none of that sticky sauce, and comes with the choice of ranch or bleu cheese. Only tried the medium because I'm a wimp and it was just spicy enough. my boyfriend at the hot wings, which he said were fine, not as spicy as he had hoped but still good, nothing mind blowing, but hes a wing eater... Now, the macho nacho.... it is $9 and worth every penny. Comes out on a large pizza pan but I wouldn't call it a "mountain". It fed the four of us perfectly and was really yummy. Definitely get it! Its not the most authentic, with that fantastic gooey cheese sauce but everything else on it tastes fresh. Its perfect. Get it. Great little place, really good prices for the most part and I'm positive we will definitely be back.

We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted with an introduction by the bartender. He was friendly, attentive, and introduced us to some of their new drink beverage options. I've gone passed this place a thousand times, and finally visited because of the rave about the wings. The wings are flavorful, meaty, and both fried and grilled. I found the meat to be a little dry, but that's personal preference, I would definitely go back. Wednesdays are a $.40 special. Really like that they have many flavors to choose. I'm still on the hunt for the best wings around...with a special wing night. TVs abound around the bar for easy viewing...I think there are more TVs than bar stools!

I tend to give places the benefit of a doubt, especially when I know I have had a positive experience at some point. HOWEVER, my experience today changed my mind and prompted me to write an actual review to share my concerns. I'm not denying the quality of the wings or the great wing specials this establishment offers. What I am going to tell you is how I was made to feel as a patron, after returning here 3 years following a positive experience. We walked in and were promptly greeted and encouraged to sit anywhere we like. It was quiet, only a few individuals who appeared to know the bartender and be bar "regulars." We appreciate that, as we are "regulars" at other bars, as well. We ordered our drinks and were told that they were out of both of the beers we ordered. Understandable, we ordered other beverages and understood it happens. The tap beers we received (two different beers) were both warm, flat, and almost unbearable to drink. But we drank them out of courtesy for the bartender, as she was upfront in what the bar was lacking in selection. After all, it's not the messenger's fault, right? We ordered our wings and waited. Fifteen minutes later, the bartender returned stating they were "out of the appetizer we ordered, but had another appetizer similar." We agreed to reconsider and accept the other appetizer. Once our wings arrived, we realized that they got part of our order wrong. The bartender apologized and re-submitted the correct order. Once our correct order was received, it was good, and I remembered that yes, the wings were just as good as I remembered three years ago when I came to visit; HOWEVER, the lack of advertised beverages and food (especially during the weekend) and the failure to offer any type of deals to the patron to address these issues made me never want to come back again. I'm sorry, but if your server tells you they're out of two beverages you order, one appetizer, and screw up you order...it doesn't matter how nice they are--if you do not try and understand that it is incredibly frustrating for your patron...you're in the wrong business. Get you act together.

Food here is pretty disgusting...I don't like wings, so maybe they are good, but the rest of the menu is pretty gross.

An update: I have been here almost every Wednesday for wing-night since my first review. The service is still really friendly and we hardly ever have issues (they get really busy so we forgive a missed bleu cheese or two). While the sampler platter isn't the best the burgers are awesome! Go here, if you like dive bars and American food, you will not be disappointed.

    1. 30min before our order was taken, another 45 until we got our food. 2. Wings and fries were cold. 3. When the check came, the total was inflated. We asked our server, and she said the price of wings was acutally 60cents instead of the 50cent price on the menu. We asked for a manager. The manager comes out, tells us tough luck, and says if we wern't going to come back, then he didn't care what we thought anyway. 4. The manager proceeded to insult my mother in front of customers when she argued that this was bad business practice. Conclusion: Go to another wings joint, or even a BWWs. This guy does not deserve paying customers. Complete a**hole.

Magoo's is as Good as it gets for one Reason... The Wings. These are in my opinion the best Chicken Wings in the City. If you like: -Big and Meaty Wings -The best Home Made Blue Cheese Dressing you can find -Wings that are Never Breaded -Wings that are Fried and then Grilled to give them a crispy and smoky flavor -Wings that are lightly sauced but packed with flavor. -Spicy BBQ Sauce. (This is my favorite Flavor and the One that everyone I bring there agrees is the best) Then Magoos is for you. The other food is good but not spectacular, The bar always has good specials going and plenty of sports on. Not Fancy, not trendy, just a good honest Milwaukee Drinking Establishment with Awesome Wings.

Drinks are far to expensive for what this bar is...Sports bar that only plays local games and has limited appeal these days. Quite outdated in every aspect. Use to be a great bar, but with the expensive drinks, filthy glasses, ever declining kitchen its just a dive bar with overpriced drinks.

Not normally a fan of wings but these were very good. Tried the BBQ & Mild and ate more than i expected. Also had a appitizer plate that was huge for less than $10. Four of us couldn't even make a dent in the tortilla chips with taco toppings. Place is not fancy but certainly a good source of wings.

Magoo's is fun. A typical Wisconsin tavern with a lot of space, a lot of flat screen TV's and a fun but laid back staff and clientele. I have to say they do a great job of social marketing. Become a member of their text club and you'll stay on top of all their (quite amazing) specials such as free bloody marys on a Saturday during a Badgers game. And these are decent bloody marys! It is definitely not fancy or chic but it is a down to earth tavern with good food and drinks to be had for all.
